Dear participants,
Production, which is the lifeblood of the economy, is a driving force for the flow of information, money, and material globally and is one of the critical determinants of the development performance of countries. The efficiency of production activities can only be realized at the point of integration with an effective supply chain structure. The supply chain structure adopts a win-win strategy based on the partnership logic among the chain members and is characterized by a coordinated approach. The added value created in the production process emerges within an integrated value chain structure that extends from the last customer to the first supplier.
The Covid-19 process, known as the Black Swan and creating a global socio-economic crisis, has brought the sustainability of production and supply chains to the fore. Along with the Covid-19 pandemic, many sectors, mainly tourism, travel, transportation, logistics, accommodation, retail, pharmaceutical, and health sectors, have come under a significant risk on a global scale. Based on this requirement, the PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY CHAIN SYMPOSIUM will be held to draw attention to the criticality of the production and supply chain for the continuity of the normal flow of life and conduct research on the subject from a multidisciplinary perspective. The Symposium will be held by Sinop University Ayancık Vocational School in cooperation with the International Transporters Association (UND) and the Logistics Association (LODER) on 09-11 June 2022.
In addition to the presentations of valuable academicians who will participate in the Symposium; Special sessions will be held with the participation of the relevant public institutions and logistics representatives operating in the field of industry, production, and supply chain. In this context, current problems and solutions encountered in practice will be discussed in academic and sectoral sessions.
Researchers' original and unpublished research that has not been submitted for publication elsewhere is invited to be presented as part of the Symposium. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed, and accepted studies will be presented and published at the Symposium.
The symposium will be held as a hybrid (online and face-to-face). The appropriate program will be carried out simultaneously by receiving online or face-to-face participation requests from those who want to participate in the symposium. In addition, a trip program for participants who prefer face-to-face participation will be organized specifically for Ayancık and Sinop. The program will be announced later, depending on the number of participants.
Participation is free. Since the PRODUCTION AND SUPPLY CHAIN SYMPOSIUM has the status of an International Scientific Meeting, special sessions will be held in English depending on the number of participants.
We hope to meet our esteemed academics and sector representatives interested in researching production and supply chain issues through an online platform and Sinop/Turkey on 09-11 June 2022.
